About the Chef

If you have stopped by InterContinental Bangkok’s Deli, you will have noticed the vibrant array of desserts displayed at the bakery counter. Arriving in all shapes, sizes and colours, these aesthetically pleasing treats are the handiwork of Executive Pastry Chef Saiful Huda, who has been delighting dessert lovers for over 20 years.

His whimsical creations re-invent traditional recipes, infusing them with contemporary flair to appeal to modern guests. After gaining the technical expertise in his home country of Indonesia, Chef Saiful fine-tuned his skills at influential posts across the Middle East in Dubai, Doha, Oman, East Caribbean as well as Japan, working for some of the world’s biggest hotel chains, including Four Season Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Jumeirah Group, Raffles Hotel Resort and InterContinental.

In the course of his four years with InterContinental Bangkok, he has created more than 1,000 types of pastries which is he demonstrate to the team how to coaching, training and hands on. Saiful’s role as Executive Pastry Chef is all-encompassing; not only does he handle the pastry menu at the Deli, but he also oversees the pastries for the hotel restaurant’s daily buffets and a la carte for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as those for the Club InterContinental Lounge, high tea, cocktail receptions, meeting room refreshments, room amenities and wedding event include set menu and buffet.
