Open kitchen and grill established since 1966

Fireplace Grill & Bar

Fireplace Grill and Bar is a showcase for fine dining, recommended by the Michelin Guide for the third successive year in 2020.

The restaurant first opened its doors in 1966, when it gained an immediate reputation as the city’s finest steakhouse and grill. This is a reputation that has endured and flourished through the changes of the past half-century and more.

The à la carte menu features premium grades of steak from Australia and Japan, Iberico lamb from Spain, lobster from Maine, turbot and Dover sole from Brittany, and Japanese seabass from Tokyo’s famed Toyosu Market. High quality wines from small family-owned vineyards and from well-known producers are displayed on the international wine list.

A culinary journey is on offer in the form of five and seven course menus curated by Austrian-born chef Sebastian Reischer, alongside carefully matched wine pairings from sommelier.

Our guests can enjoy seeing their meals crafted to perfection by chefs in the open kitchen, with the charcoal grill taking a starring role in the centre. The charcoal is made of 100 percent natural and organic mangrove wood from Phetchaburi Province, in central Thailand. A craft product, the charcoal is manufactured by hand with expertise refined over many generations.

Cooking with charcoal over an open flame is the most ancient, and pure, way of preparing food, sealing in the flavours and natural essences.

Fireplace Grill and Bar continues to surprise and delight, well into its sixth decade.
