Special dining and drink menus are the order of the day from 1 to 14 December as sunny SoCal marks Father’s Day with a culinary bang. A manly meal for dad could start with grilled baby squid and green asparagus, followed by slow-grilled Mayura oyster blade beef with cipollini onions, and rounded off with an enlivening dessert of orange blossom mousse with roasted almond crunch.
Special Father’s Day cocktails to match the hearty fare include the Citrus Daddy, a zesty mix of orange peel-infused Absolut vodka, Cointreau and fresh lime juice, and Papa’s Fizz, a special mocktail comprising fresh yuzu, pineapple juice, agave nectar and Indian tonic.
