Summer Palace invites seafood lovers to experience a spectacular showcase of authentic Hong Kong flavour with the Typhoon Shelter Lobster Mountain from April to June 2026.
Originating from the typhoon shelters of Hong Kong, Typhoon Shelter is a legendary Cantonese seafood cooking style developed by fishing communities who transformed their daily catch into intensely aromatic, wok-fired dishes. Defined by high-heat cooking and a bold medley of golden garlic, vibrant chilli and savoury fermented black bean sauce, this iconic preparation delivers a fragrance and depth of flavour that is unmistakably Hong Kong.
Reimagined on a grand scale, this limited-time signature features an impressive three-kilogram “mountain” of premium Boston lobster. Each lobster is expertly wok-fried to perfection, then lavishly coated with crisp garlic, chilli and black bean sauce — creating a harmonious balance of sweetness, savouriness and gentle heat in every bite.
